Wang Yi Meets with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi

On September 16, 2021 local time, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi in Dushanbe.

Wang Yi said that the friendship between China and Kazakhstan has been elevated during the joint fight against COVID-19. China is ready to work with Kazakhstan to comprehensibly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Kazakhstan diplomatic ties next year as an opportunity to enhance anti-pandemic cooperation and mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields, and push China-Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level. The two sides need to enhance the alignment of development strategies, accelerate the signing of intergovernmental economic and trade cooperation plans and the new investment protection agreement, and implement the production capacity cooperation projects agreed by both sides. The two sides also need to improve the freight train services and operational quality of the China-Europe Railway Express, and promote cooperation in artificial intelligence, digital finance, cross-border e-commerce, green energy and other fields. China supports Kazakhstan in holding a successful meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia. China is ready to work with Kazakhstan to jointly promote the smooth transition in Afghanistan and facilitate regional security, stability and development. The two sides need to strengthen coordination and cooperation in multilateral fields, safeguard the common interests of developing countries, international fairness and justice, and the basic norms governing international relations.

Mukhtar Tileuberdi said that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to developing Kazakhstan-China relations and is willing to maintain regular high-level exchanges and promote political dialogue at all levels. Kazakhstan thanks China for providing vaccines and wishes to further advance anti-pandemic cooperation between the two countries. Kazakhstan is ready to enhance the alignment of its "Bright Path" with China's Belt and Road Initiative, and deepen the cooperation on "green lanes" and "steel camel fleets". Kazakhstan opposes the "conspiracy theory" of coronavirus origins, supports China in hosting the Beijing Winter Olympics and believes it will be a great success. Kazakhstan is supportive of China's stance on the issues related to Taiwan and human rights. It hopes to enhance communication and coordination with China on the Afghan issue and deepen bilateral cooperation within multilateral frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
