China's parliament endorses new cabinet lineup

BEIJING, March 16 (Xinhua) -- The new lineup of China's State Council, nominated by Premier Li Keqiang, was endorsed by lawmakers at the ongoing national legislative session here Saturday afternoon.

--Zhang Gaoli, born in 1946, male, Vice Premier,

--Liu Yandong, born in 1945, female, Vice Premier

--Wang Yang, born in 1955, male, Vice Premier

--Ma Kai, born in 1946, male, Vice Premier

--Yang Jing, born in 1953, male, Mongolian ethnic, State Councilor and Secretary-General of the State Council

-- Chang Wanquan, born in 1949, male, State Councilor

-- Yang Jiechi, born in 1950, male, State Councilor

-- Guo Shengkun, born in 1954, male, State Councilor

--Wang Yong, born in 1955, male, State Councilor

NEW MINISTERS

-- Wang Yi, born in 1953, male, Foreign Minister

-- Lou Jiwei, born in 1950, male, Finance Minister

-- Gao Hucheng, born in 1951, male, Minister of Commerce

-- Xu Shaoshi, born in 1951, male, head of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC)

--Li Bin, born in 1954, female, head of National Health and Family Planning Commission.

Both Zhou Xiaochuan and Liu Jiayi stayed in their posts as governor of the central bank and auditor-general.
