On January 8, Ambassador Liao Liqiang met with Belgium’s President of the House of Representatives André Flahaut. The two sides exchanged views on the two countries’ cooperation in the field of social security. Alain Coheur, Director of European and International Affairs of Social Fund, attended the meeting.

Referring to China’s overall approach of promoting economic, political, cultural, social, and ecological progress as proposed at the 18th CPC National Congress, Ambassador Liao presented China’s achievements and new objectives in the field of social security and expressed the will of the Chinese side to learn the best practices and experiences from Belgium and to remain in contact with the latter for potential cooperation.
